Visit any of the 21 cooperative and estate wineries in the region (most South Africans are well aware of the excellent wines produced here), for a wine tasting, or do a hiking or cycling trail through the area. Some of the most notable attractions in the area are Silverstrand Holiday Resort, the local golf course, the Dassieshoek Hiking Trail (established in 1860), the Robertson Museum, the 21 wine estates with their wine tasting facilities, the Pink Church (built in 1859), and the well known Pottery Farm where you can purchase locally produced works.
